Intro
It's easy to participate in the Sailing, Scuba Diving, Snorkeling, Whale/Dolphin Watching, Coastal Fishing, Hiking in the Grand E'Tang National Park or simply enjoy the enormous array of Beaches found throughout Grenada's coastal region.
Annandale Falls
This is a small waterfall with a rather interesting rock formation. With local guys offering to jump from the top of the falls for a few dollars, it's almost a carnival event. However, if you're not interested, offer a smile with a firm but polite "no". Alternatively, take a dip yourself. This is an ideal morning trip, as the journey on a #2 bus from St. George's is only 25 Minutes.
Carenage
The Carenage is conveniently located in St. George's. An extremely picturesque bay with a magnificent view of the surrounding buildings. The name "Carenage" describes an area whereby ships & boats can be turned on their side, enabling the practice of "careening" or the cleaning of sea vessels. Several other countries (French) have the spelling as Careenage.
Concord Falls
The village of Concord is located a few miles below Gouyave on the west coast, with the Falls just under 2 miles inland. Follow the small inland road, taking the next available right turning (sign posted) & you will arrive at the Falls in a cul-de-sac. A small, yet impressive Falls, you'll be able to take your photos from several angles, including from the foot of the Falls.
Gouayave
Situated on the western coast road past the village of Concord. The Town boasts of being both the fishing capital of Grenada & a town which never sleeps. The added attraction to Gouayave has been Fish Friday. This is a well organised weekly street event celebrating the end of the week & the towns' links to the sea. With an atmosphere that is extremely bubbly, a wide selection of fish, bakes & drinks on sale, all to a background of lifting reggae & soca sounds, it's well worth a visit.
Grand Anse
Grand Anse is very much the centre of everything in Grenada with an excellent range of restaurants, supermarkets, banks, gift shops & bus services. Located on the south west coast of the Island, with easy access to St George's (capital), which is just a stones throw away along the bay heading north.
Grand Anse Beach
This is Grenada's premier beach, with 2 miles of beautiful white sands in a natural bay. You'll find several water sports operators based directly on grand anse beach & a vendors market near the centre, whilst the vast majority of the beach remains uncluttered, quiet & clean. An ideal beach vacation.
Grand E'Tang
A trip to the Grand E'tang Forest Reserve should not be missed, as it's only a 30 minute drive. With guides on hand to advise you of the hiking trails, you'll be able to plan your hike or just relax at the Information Centre enjoying the incredible view.
Check out Gorp for further information.
Grenville
Located on the east coast (Atlantic side) & described as Grenada's 2nd town. Locals' flock there from all over the country for the array of "bargain shops". Busy!
Hiking
Hiking trails are well marked, although guides are a good idea for the more adventurous hikes, such as Mt. Qua Qua. Yet for the rest of us, there are many less demanding hikes that can easily be enjoyed. Check out the links page for a local guide.
Historical Attractions
The National Library, Museum, Fort Frederick & Mathew are all local. There are also many churches & estates throughout the whole of Grenada just waiting to be explored.
Lagoon
Located on the west coast road between Grand Anse & St George's (capital). A truly beautiful picturesque Caribbean bay, home to an amazing array of yachts & boats, allowing for incredible photographs, professional or otherwise.

You have to place the curser on the required location, then scroll back to the map using the computer keys. Fiddly, but it works.
Sauteurs
Located on the north east of the Island, with remarkable views of the Grenadine Islands stretching out towards Carriacou, Petite Martinique & St Vincent. Consequently, the surf can be extremely rough.
Sister Islands
Speed ferries leave twice daily from the Carenage in St. George's for the sister island of Carriacou (links to Petite Martinique). Direct flights from the airport are also available via SVG Air to Carriacou.
Carriacou, an extremely beautiful & quiet Island, is much smaller than Grenada. For hundreds of years, the main occupations have been boat building, sailing, fishing & diving. The water activities are a tourists paradise (book first). For the land based, take a tour of the Island (bus/taxi) or sit back & watch the grass grow. You cannot fail to be impressed.
Petite Martinique covers an area of just 486 acres, with a population of approximately 900. Fishing & boat building remain the main occupations.
Water Sports
High on the Grenadian calendar, Water Sports can be considered as excellent. The underwater scenery is as breathtaking as it is above the waves and just as accessible. Boasting the largest shipwreck in the Caribbean: the Bianca C.
